Meet The doctor and Owner

Dr. Zach Hefner graduated from Logan University in December 2018, and he started his own chiropractic practice just one month later, in January 2019. It is the mission of Dr. Hefner to spread the power of natural healthcare to the community. He does that by creating friendships with his patients and teaching them where true health comes from (having and maintaining a healthy spine and nervous system). Dr. Zach has a true passion for what he does, and he loves being able to make a big impact on each and every patient that he meets. When asked about where he got his love for chiropractic, he shared this story:

"My personal experience with chiropractic care started when I was a child and I was suffering from severe asthma. My uncle (Dr. Bickmeyer) began treating my spine at a young age and he has been my chiropractor ever since. Over a few years of being treated, I started to notice my breathing and asthmatic symptoms began to improve. Today I am thrilled to say that I have no trace of asthma in my body, and I have no problems at all with wheezing, exercising, or breathing. Chiropractic changed my life and I want all of my patients to have a similar experience!"

Zach married his high school sweetheart Christina in May of 2019. Together they have a fur baby named Bailey, who is a rescue labrador mix. A few of their favorite activities as a family are taking walks, going to the park, and spending weekends at the Lake of the Ozarks. Outside of the office, Dr. Zach loves to bass fish and play recreational softball and volleyball.

Our Approach

Dr. Zach utilizes a chiropractic technique that is focused on reducing and eliminating stress from the body. Stress comes in 3 types (physical, chemical, and mental) and builds up over time actually changing the way our bodies express health and how it functions as a whole. This can lead to a wide variety of symptoms but ultimately it means that we aren’t living at our best.

Our office has computerized nerve scanning equipment that allows us to see exactly how your spine and nerve system are functioning. These tests, along with other examination protocols tell us exactly where the problems are and how we can address them.

After we find the root cause of the problems we can put together a specific health plan for the patient. Using the Neuromechanical Stress Reduction method (developed by Dr. Michael Gandolfi) we can correct our patients underlying health problems and get them functioning and feeling better than ever before!

Nerve System

Our brain and nervous system control every organ, muscle, and cell of our bodies. This is why it is so crucial to make sure it is working at 100%.

We have tools that can test the function of your nerve system and find out if that is why you are having health issues.

Spinal check-up

Every person with a spine needs a wellness chiropractic check-up. It is impossible for us to be fully healthy if our spine and nerves are damaged!
